Gaming Room Wallpaper Ideas & Small Rooms | Mural Wonder

A gaming room mural works best when it is planned around the setup you actually use. Your screens, desk and shelves will cover part of the wall, so the most useful starting point is deciding which parts of the artwork will remain visible.

Whether you want a playful bedroom or a more restrained gaming corner, choose the composition first, then build the room’s colours around it.

Choose between controller artwork and a geometric design

For an unmistakable gaming theme, look for artwork featuring controllers, joysticks and graphic lettering. Our Epic Gamer Wall Mural combines these elements with a dark background and bright accents. It is an option for a room where the wall itself is intended to be a prominent feature.

For a less literal approach, consider the Hexagonal Grid Wall Mural. Its geometric pattern and coloured accents suggest a technological theme without relying on gaming characters. The lighting effects are part of the printed artwork; the mural does not contain lights.

Decide which wall deserves the artwork

Behind the desk is a natural choice, but check how much a monitor or shelving unit will hide. If you want the design visible during video calls or streaming, consider the wall behind your chair instead. For a bedroom, the wall beside the desk may give the mural more uninterrupted space.

Take a straight-on photograph of the room and mark the outline of your furniture. This makes it easier to judge whether an important controller, word or shape would end up behind a screen.

Make a gaming corner work in a small bedroom

You do not need a dedicated games room to use gaming wallpaper. In a bedroom that also has a desk, choose the area with the clearest view of the artwork. That might be the wall beside the desk rather than directly behind the monitors.

If the bed occupies most of the room, compare how the design looks above the headboard and beside the desk. Avoid placing the most recognisable element where either piece of furniture will hide it. A geometric design can also connect the sleeping and gaming areas without making every part of the room explicitly gaming-themed.

Choose colours in your normal lighting

Pick one or two colours from the mural for accessories rather than trying to repeat every colour in the design. Plain bedding, shelves or curtains can give busy artwork room to stand out.

Look at a physical sample in daylight and under the lamps you normally use. If you have coloured room lighting, check it with that lighting switched off as well. Your screen preview cannot show exactly how the printed colours will look in your room.

Check the crop before ordering

Measure the full area you want to cover, then review the composition using your wall dimensions. A wide wall and a narrow wall will show different portions of the same design. Keep lettering and recognisable objects inside the visible area, allowing for furniture and the installation trimming allowance.

If a crop cuts through an important word or object, reposition it or ask us for help before ordering. Do not rely on the room mock-up to represent the exact crop for your wall.

What if you prefer a gaming theme without characters?

Controller artwork and geometric patterns provide two routes. Compare their colour and shape rather than choosing a design purely because it resembles a particular game. If you want a calmer backdrop for work as well as gaming, start with fewer accent colours and check the result with your screens switched off.

Start with the design that fits your room

Compare Epic Gamer for an expressive gaming theme with Hexagonal Grid for a geometric approach. Each product page lets you review the available materials and order a sample before deciding on the full mural.
